Présentée en avril 1971 pour le cabriolet SL et en octobre de la même année pour le coupé SLC, la serie W107 avait, pour le cabriolet SL, la lourde tache de prendre la suite de l’excellente Pagode, qui resta un succès commercial important.
La W107 fut la plateforme d’accueil de moteurs de diverses cylindrées au gré des évolutions de ceux-ci. Née avec le V8 de 3,5 litres des 280 et 300 SE/SEL 3,5 (W108 et 109) de l’ancienne classe S, elle reçut par la suite l’excellent 6 cylindres double arbres des 280 SE (W116 et 126) dès juillet 1974 et le V8 de 4,5 litres de la 450 SEL (W116) en avril 1973.
Pour qui est né dans les années 70, c’est comme si la R107 avait toujours existé, dans les rues comme à la télévision ou au cinéma, et ce malgré son statut de voiture de luxe. Il faut d’ailleurs bien garder à l’esprit qu’il ne s’agit absolument pas d’une voiture de sport. La précédente SL (la W113) s’était vendue à près de 40 % aux USA et il était clair, dans les esprits des concepteurs des R/C107, que son héritière serait conçue en priorité pour le marché américain.
Le modèle présenté en couleur argent astral (type 735) et un magnifique velours bleu (type 902) l’intérieur est excellent état.
Le véhicule est dans sa configuration d’époque et là aussi dans un excellent état.
Petite particularité de celui-ci, il s’agit d’une rare version 450 SLC 5.0L d’origine allemande, c’est le 508ème sortie d’usine.
Ce modèle est sorti à 1 615 exemplaires dans le monde, dont 1 174 pour l’Allemagne, 89 pour la France et 21 pour l’Italie.
Il a été entièrement révisé dans nos ateliers.
Le véhicule est garanti 1 an dans le réseau Mercedes.

Introduced in April 1971 for the SL Cabriolet and in October of the same year for the SLC Coupé, the W107 series had, for the SL Cabriolet, the difficult task of following on from the impressive and immensely successful Pagoda.
The W107 was equipped with engines of various capacities as they evolved. Starting with the 3.5-litre V8 of the 280 and 300 SE/SEL 3.5 (W108 and 109) of the old S-Class, it was later fitted with the excellent twin-shaft 6-cylinder of the 280 SE (W116 and 126) from July 1974 and the 4.5-litre V8 of the 450 SEL (W116) in April 1973.
For anyone born in the 70s, it's as if the R107 has always been around, on the road, on television and in the cinema, despite its status as a luxury car. It's important to remember that this is definitely not a sports car. The previous SL (the W113) had sold almost 40% in the USA, and it was clear to the designers of the R/C107 that its successor would be designed primarily for the American market.
This model is finished in Astral Silver (type 735) and sumptuous blue velour (type 902), with an interior in excellent condition.
The vehicle is in its original configuration and is in excellent condition.
What makes this one so special is that it's a rare German-built 450 SLC 5.0L, the 508th to leave the factory, in fact.
This model was sold in 1,615 units worldwide, including 1,174 in Germany, 89 in France and 21 in Italy.
It has been fully serviced in our workshops.

Van de W107-serie werd de cabriolet SL in april 1971 en de coupé SLC in oktober van hetzelfde jaar gepresenteerd. De cabriolet SL had de lastige taak om de uitmuntende Pagode op te volgen, die een groot verkoopsucces bleef.
De W107 is in de loop van diverse ontwikkelingen uitgerust met motoren met verschillende cilinderinhouden. Aanvankelijk uitgerust met een V8-motor van 3,5 liter, van de 280 en 300 SE/SEL 3,5 (W108 en 109) uit de oude S-klasse, krijgt hij vervolgens, vanaf juli 1974, de uitstekende 6-cilindermotor met dubbele nokkenas, van de 280 SE (W116 en 126) en in april 1973 de V8-motor van 4,5 liter, van de 450 SEL (W116).
Voor wie in de jaren 1970 is geboren is het alsof de R107 er altijd is geweest: op de wegen, in films en op tv... En toch geniet de R107 een bijzondere, luxe status. Men moet overigens niet vergeten dat dit absoluut geen sportwagen is. De voorgaande SL (de W113) werd voor bijna 40% in de VS verkocht en het was voor de ontwerpers van de R/C107 duidelijk dat deze opvolger in de eerste plaats voor de Amerikaanse markt ontworpen moest worden.
Het gepresenteerde model heeft een zilverwitte lak (kleurcode 735 - 'astral silver') en een prachtig veloursblauw interieur (kleurcode 902) dat in uitstekende staat verkeert.
Het voertuig is in zeer goede en oorspronkelijke staat.
Bijzonderheid van dit exemplaar is dat het een zeldzame 450 SLC 5.0L-versie van Duitse oorsprong betreft, het 508e exemplaar dat werd gefabriceerd.
Van dit model zijn wereldwijd 1615 exemplaren geproduceerd, waarvan 1174 voor Duitsland, 89 voor Frankrijk en 21 voor Italië.
Hij is volledig gereviseerd in onze werkplaatsen.
De auto geniet 1 jaar garantie binnen het Mercedes-netwerk.
